There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Virtus Cagliari (4-9) was defeated on the road by thirteenth ranked Cagliari CUS (2-10) 64-60 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Virtus Cagliari won third quarter 20-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Power forward Elena Riccardi (187-82) fired 18 points for the winners. Forward Angela Dettori (182-96) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. The former international power forward Silvia Sarni (188-87) produced 20 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Elisa Templari (172-89, agency: LBM Management) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side.
