Regular Season Round 17: Trefl II Sopot - TKM Wloclawek 82-70

Very expected game when 12th ranked TKM Wloclawek (2-14) lost on the road to seventh ranked Trefl II Sopot (9-6) 82-70 on Monday. Trefl II Sopot dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to TKM Wloclawek's 36. Trefl II Sopot forced 20 TKM Wloclawek turnovers and outrebounded them 44-32 including 16 on the offensive glass. Guard Lukasz Kolenda (191-99) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Bartosz Majewski (188-97) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Trefl II Sopot's coach Krzysztof Roszyk allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Rafal Komenda (200-98) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Mateusz Krawiec (187-87) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for TKM Wloclawek. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Trefl II Sopot moved-up to fifth place in Group A, which they share with SMS PZKosz. TKM Wloclawek lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Trefl II Sopot will face league's second-placed AZS UMK Torun on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TKM Wloclawek will play against the league's leader Pelplin (#1) and hope to win that game.
