The most exciting game of round 11 in the D1 took place in Rishon LeZion. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 8th ranked Hapoel Z/MM (2-8) to fifth ranked Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (4-5) 67-65 on Monday evening. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Shae Kelley (185-91, college: Minnesota) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 16 rebounds. Forward Jillian Robbins (190-84, college: Tulsa, agency: LBM Management) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Alex Harden (180-93, college: Wichita St.) produced 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Kim Demmings (173-92, college: Wright St.) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Hapoel Z/MM players scored in double figures. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion maintains fifth place with 4-5 record. Hapoel Z/MM lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with eight games lost. They share it with Hap.Petah Tikva. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion are looking forward to face Ramat Hasharon (#6) at home in the next round. Hapoel Z/MM will have a break next round.
