A1 top team - Olympiacos (13-0) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they beat eighth ranked Kymis (5-8) 90-72. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Olympiacos's pressure prevailed and they won that period 27-13 extending their advantage to 18 points. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. American-Belgian guard Matt Lojeski (198-85, college: Hawaii, agency: Pensack Sports) fired 17 points for the winners. The former international guard Evangelos Mantzaris (196-90) chipped in 15 points. Four Olympiacos players scored in double figures. American forward Jordan Morgan (203-91, college: Michigan) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds and British point guard Ogooluwa Adegboye (182-87, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe) added 8 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Olympiacos have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-0 record. Newly promoted Kymis keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. Olympiacos will meet at home Koroivos (#12) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Kymis will play against Lavrio (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
