We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when tenth ranked Hasharon (7-7) defeated 9th ranked Hapoel Migd.H. (7-7) in Hod Hasharon 97-86. They made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Hasharon forced 20 Hapoel Migd.H. turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. American Storm Warren (201-88, college: LSU, agency: Octagon Europe) had a double-double by scoring 50 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Vernon Teel (193-87, college: Loyola Mary) chipped in 28 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. Hasharon's coach Hanan Hershkovich allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American-Puerto Rican Chris Gaston (201-89, college: Fordham) responded with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and point guard Yevgeni Holodov (178-96) scored 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Hasharon have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Ironi K-A and Hapoel Migd.H. Hapoel Migd.H. lost third consecutive game. Hasharon will play against league's second-placed Hapoel B/S in Beer Sheva in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Hapoel Migd.H. will play against Hap.Haifa (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
