Important game to mention about took place in Aldeota. Fourth ranked Paulistano (8-5) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 12th ranked SKY/Basquete (5-8) 76-74 on Wednesday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Paulistano players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Eddy Carvalho (196-87) notched 19 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and point guard Arthur Pecos (183-95) supported him with 6 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Four Paulistano players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 5 rebounds by the former international point guard David Rossetto (180-93) did not help to save the game for SKY/Basquete. Point guard Gustavinho Lima (178-85) added 17 points for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Paulistano maintains fourth position with 8-5 record, which they share with Pinheiros. SKY/Basquete lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with eight games lost. Paulistano will play against higher ranked Universo/Vitoria (#3) in Salvador in the next round and it may be the game of the week. SKY/Basquete will play at home against Liga Sorocaba (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
