Regular Season Round 16: KFUM Ostersund - Telge 72-76

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Telge (4-11) beat on the road 7th ranked KFUM Ostersund (6-10) 76-72. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-18. But KFUM Ostersund won second period 25-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Telge won last quarter 20-18. American swingman Jasmine Gill (185-90, college: JMU) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. International forward Ellen Astrom (170-96) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Telge players scored in double figures. American guard Taylor Wurtz (183-90, college: Wisconsin) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and forward Elsa Paulsson Glantz (183-95, college: Salt Lake CC) added 14 points respectively for lost side. KFUM Ostersund's coach Alberto Garcia tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Telge moved-up to eighth place. KFUM Ostersund lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Telge's next round opponent will be Visby Ladies (#9) at home.
