Very important is a road loss of third ranked TuNMKY (11-3) against fourth ranked Ura Basket (11-4) on Thursday night. Visiting TuNMKY was crushed by Ura Basket in Kaarina 94-74. The game without a history. Ura Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Ura Basket had a 29-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Jermaine Watson (193-81, college: Boston Coll.) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Ville Hanninen (193-95) chipped in 21 points. Watson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Ura Basket players scored in double figures. Center Mikael Sandberg (210-91) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and guard Eero Innamaa (186-98) added 21 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ura Basket moved-up to third place in Division. Loser TuNMKY still keeps top position with three games lost. Ura Basket will face Karkkila (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. TuNMKY will play against Korikouvot (#5) and hope to win that game.
