Regular Season Round 14: ToPo - Jarvenpaa 72-75

A very close game took place in Helsinki between Jarvenpaa and ToPo. Sixth ranked Jarvenpaa (7-8) got a very close victory on the road over one of their biggest challengers ToPo (8-7). Jarvenpaa managed to escape with a 3-point win 75-72 on Thursday evening. ToPo cut a 13-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. They outrebounded ToPo 43-32 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Cameroonian forward Arsene Towa (191-81) had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 20 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward HL Coleman (202-74, college: Wyoming) chipped in 15 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Guard Emil Djeen (183-94, college: High School) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and forward Cedric Latimer (198-87, college: St.Francis, PA) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jarvenpaa maintains sixth position in Division with 7-8 record. Newly promoted ToPo dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost. Jarvenpaa will meet HBA-Marsky (#10) in the next round. ToPo will play against Oulun NMKY (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
