Regular Season Round 15: B.Cearense - L.Sorocaba 86-85

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 13th ranked Liga Sorocaba's (4-10) road loss to twelfth ranked SKY/Basquete (6-8) 85-86 on Friday. SKY/Basquete dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Liga Sorocaba's 36. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard David Rossetto (180-93) who scored 22 points and 6 assists. American guard Rashaun McLemore (193-86, college: CS Northridge) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Argentinian point guard Enzo Cafferata (187-88) who recorded 25 points and 9 assists and guard Rafael Castellon (192-85) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Four Liga Sorocaba players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. SKY/Basquete moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Minas. Liga Sorocaba lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with ten games lost. SKY/Basquete will face higher ranked Pinheiros (#5) in Sao Paolo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Liga Sorocaba will play at home against Mogi (#9) and hope to win that game.
