Regular Season Round 16: Breidablik - Hamar 82-91

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked Hamar (6-8) won against one of their biggest challengers Breidablik (9-5) in Kopavogur 91-82. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Breidablik won third quarter 22-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Chris Woods (195-89, college: Pfeiffer) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!), 26 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and guard Erlendur Stefansson (190-95, college: Black Hills St.) who added 15 points during the contest. Four Hamar players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Snorri Vignisson (193-97) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and American guard Tyrone Garland (185-92, college: La Salle) scored 16 points and 6 assists. Hamar maintains fifth position with 6-8 record. Breidablik at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Hamar will play against league's second-placed Fjolnir in Reykjavik in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Breidablik will play on the road against IA in Akranes and hopes to get back on the winning track.
