Regular Season Round 27: Shanghai S. - Liaoning FL 100-96

The game between Top Four teams took place in Shanghai. First ranked host Shanghai Sharks (23-4) defeated 4th placed Liaoning Hunters (20-7) 100-96. Strangely Liaoning Hunters outrebounded Shanghai Sharks 47-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. Liaoning Hunters were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for French Guerschon Yabusele (201-95) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard XiaoYu Liu (191-89) accounted for 20 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Four Shanghai Sharks players scored in double figures. American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) came up with 30 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Dejun Han (215-89) added 23 points and 11 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) respectively for Liaoning Hunters in the defeat. Shanghai Sharks maintains first place with 23-4 record. Liaoning Hunters at the other side keep the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Guangsha L.. Shanghai Sharks will play against Shanxi Zhongyu (#11) in Taiyuan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Liaoning Hunters will play on the road against Fujian (#15) in Jinjiang and hope to get back on the winning track.
