Regular Season Round 27: Tianjin GL - Zhejiang GB 131-113

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourteenth ranked TianJin Steel's (12-15) home victory over 15th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (8-19) 131-113 on Friday. TianJin Steel made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. TianJin Steel outrebounded Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank 47-32 including 34 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) helped adding 30 points, 9 rebounds and 13 assists. TianJin Steel's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American guard Lorenzo Brown (196-90, college: N.Carolina St.) with 44 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and the former international center Dayu Zhang (212-91) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four TianJin Steel and five Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players scored in double figures. TianJin Steel moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank keeps the fifteenth position with 19 games lost. TianJin Steel will face Jiangsu TX (#17) on the road in the next round. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play against Beijing Ducks and hope to win that game.
