Regular Season Round 27: Fujian S. - Jilin NE T. 110-106

An interesting game took place in Jinjiang where 13th ranked Jilin Tigers (11-16) were upset on the court of sixteenth ranked Fujian (8-19) 110-106 on Friday. Fujian looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Dwight Buycks (191-89, college: Marquette) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 7 rebounds and 13 assists. International Zhelin Wang (215-94) helped adding 23 points and 8 rebounds. Five Fujian players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Malcolm Thomas (206-88, college: San Diego St.) with 31 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import swingman Jabari Brown (193-92, college: Missouri) scored 32 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Fujian moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Zhejiang CB. Loser Jilin Tigers dropped to the fourteenth position with 16 games lost. Fujian will face higher ranked Liaoning Hunters (#4) in Yingkou in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
