Very predictable result in Sant Adria de Besos where second ranked Sant Adria (11-2) outscored 13th ranked Ponce Valladolid (3-11) 67-45 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Sant Adria. Ponce Valladolid was better in second period 18-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ponce Valladolid to just 5 points in first quarter. Sant Adria dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Ponce Valladolid's 8. Sant Adria forced 25 Ponce Valladolid turnovers. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sant Adria have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group A with 11-2 record having four points less than leader Aros Leon. Newly promoted Ponce Valladolid dropped to the twelfth place with 11 games lost. Sant Adria will face Barcelona (#5) at home in the next round. Ponce Valladolid will play against Oviedo (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
