We should mention about the upset which took place in Kolobrzeg, where higher ranked GKS Tychy (10-7) lost to eleventh ranked Kotwica (7-10) in a road game 56-72. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of GKS Tychy. Kotwica forced 20 GKS Tychy turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Guard Adrian Sulinski (185-89, agency: Promotex) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Daniel Grujic (201-90) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Hubert Mazur (190-84, agency: Promotex) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Radoslaw Basinski (188-78) added 7 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for GKS Tychy. GKS Tychy's coach Tomasz Jagielka rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Kotwica moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. GKS Tychy at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Kotwica will play against bottom-ranked Nysa Klodzko (#16) in Kloszko in the next round and are hoping to win another game. GKS Tychy will play at home against Polonia Leszno (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
