Regular Season Round 15: Widzew - JAS FBG 80-83

A very interesting game took place in Lodz. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 10th ranked Widzew (3-12) to ninth ranked JAS FBG (6-9) 83-80 on Saturday evening. JAS FBG forced 19 Widzew turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Amanda Frost (174-91, college: N.Arizona) who led the winners and scored 32 points and 6 rebounds. Her fellow American import point guard Ketia Swanier (170-86, college: Connecticut) accounted for 21 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side. International Aleksandra Pawlak (189-84, agency: Promotex) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and American center Angela Beadle (190-93, college: Sam Houston St.) added 21 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Widzew in the defeat. JAS FBG moved-up to eighth place. Widzew lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. JAS FBG's next round opponent will be higher ranked Energa Torun (#4) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Widzew will play against AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (#3) and hope to win that game.
