Regular Season Round 15: Azuqueca - Torrelodones 87-59

Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Torrelodones (3-10) was rolled over on the road by ninth ranked Azuqueca (9-6) 87-59 on Saturday. Azuqueca forced 24 Torrelodones turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Torrelodones' players. It was a great evening for Jorge Tejera (200-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 5 rebounds. Venezuelan forward Luis Valera (202-88, college: UTRGV, agency: Duran International) helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five Azuqueca players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Serbian center Almir Hadzisehovic (203-92, college: Alaska-Fairb.) with 18 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Inigo Remon (202-89) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Azuqueca moved-up to seventh place in Group B. Loser Torrelodones dropped to the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Azuqueca will face Estudiantes B (#13) in Madrid in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Torrelodones will play on the road against Real Madrid II and hope to win that game.
