The game in Saitama was also quite interesting. Third ranked Tokyo HT (9-7) played at the court of 7th ranked Saitama Broncos (5-11). Tokyo HT managed to secure a 4-point victory 91-87 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-12. But Saitama Broncos won second period 23-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tokyo HT made 27-of-35 free shots (77.1 percent) during the game. Saitama Broncos were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Brian Harper (208-85, college: Paine) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 19 rebounds. Point guard Ryo Narumi (170-87) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Tiras Wade (200-81, college: La-Lafayette) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Masaya Ueda (177-93) added 27 points in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Tokyo HT have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 9-7 record having five points less than leader Fukuoka Rizing. Loser Saitama Broncos keep the seventh position with 11 games lost. Tokyo HT's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Tokyo Cinq R..
