Regular Season Round 18: Shmoolky W-wa - KK Warszawa 53-87

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Warszawa: KK Warszawa (#1) and Shmoolky W-wa (#8). Shmoolky W-wa was smashed at home by 34 points 53-87 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. KK Warszawa forced 20 Shmoolky W-wa turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Shmoolky W-wa's players. Swingman Tomasz Jaremkiewicz (192-82) scored 25 points and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Michal Wojtynski (193-89) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Rafal Piesio (178-92) with 13 points and 4 steals and Damian Zapert (197-84) scored 4 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KK Warszawa (16-2) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position, which they share with Gornik Walbrzych. Shmoolky W-wa at the other side keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Ostrow Mazow.. KK Warszawa is looking forward to face Ostrow Mazow. (#9) in Ostrow Mazowiecki in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Shmoolky W-wa will play on the road against LKS MG13 Lodz and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
