Regular Season Round 25: Lucenec - Nitra 96-85

Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Lucenec (10-12) won against at home bottom-ranked Nitra (2-20) 96-85. It was a great shooting night for Lucenec especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. American point guard Rashun Davis (180, college: Radford) stepped up and scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Aaron Rountree III (203-93, college: Iona) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Serbian forward Filip Pejovic (198-89, college: Erskine) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds and Serbian forward Goran Ostojic (205-91) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Five Lucenec and four Nitra players scored in double figures. Nitra's coach Peter Seman rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Lucenec moved-up to seventh place. Nitra lost sixth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 20 lost games. Lucenec will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nitra will play at home against Levice (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
