Regular Season Round 9: Kanazawa Sam. - Toyoda Gosei 90-43

Very expected game when 8th ranked Toyoda Gosei (3-13) was smashed by second ranked Kanazawa Sam. (14-2) in Ishikawa 90-43 on Saturday. The game without a history. Kanazawa Sam. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Toyoda Gosei's 26. Kanazawa Sam. forced 27 Toyoda Gosei turnovers. It was a good game for American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Yusuke Inoue (194-82) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Kanazawa Sam. players scored in double figures. Senegalese center Abibou Toure (202-90) answered with 5 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Eiji Sumihiro (171-89) added 9 points in the effort for Toyoda Gosei. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Kanazawa Sam. have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Fukuoka Rizing. Toyoda Gosei lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 13 games lost. Kanazawa Sam. will have a break next round. Toyoda Gosei will play at home against Otsuka A. (#4) and hope to win that game.
