Regular Season Round 15: Myrtia - Valencia II 74-75

A very close game took place in Murcia between Valencia-2 and Myrtia. Eighth ranked Valencia-2 (6-6) got a very close victory on the road over leader Myrtia (11-2). Valencia-2 managed to escape with a 1-point win 75-74 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Myrtia. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was Jon Galarza (193-97) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Carlos Cerdan (190-97) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Jorge Lledo (203-80) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Samuel Alcaraz (183-85) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Valencia-2 moved-up to fourth place in Group E, which they share with Lliria and Sagunto. Loser Myrtia still keeps top position with two games lost. Valencia-2 will meet at home Lliria (#4) in the next round. Myrtia will play against Almassera and hope to secure a win.
