Regular Season Round 16: Monaco - Nanterre 84-70

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Monaco. First ranked Monaco faced 3rd ranked JSF Nanterre. Host Monaco (14-2) defeated guests from Nanterre (10-6) 84-70. The game was mostly controlled by Monaco. JSF Nanterre managed to win third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Bosnian guard Zack Wright (191-85, college: Central Mo.) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and American Jamal Shuler (191-86) who added 15 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Nigerian forward Talib Zanna (206-90, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Three Eye Sports) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and Mathias Lessort (205-95) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Monaco have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-2 record. Loser JSF Nanterre dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. Monaco will meet Limoges CSP Elite (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JSF Nanterre will play against Cholet Basket (#14) and hope to secure a win.
