Regular Season Round 14: St Quentin - Boulazac 65-71

There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Boulazac Basket (6-8) beat on the road higher ranked Saint-Quentin (6-8) 71-65 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Saint-Quentin won third quarter 11-8. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Boulazac Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Saint-Quentin's 30. American guard Anthony Roberson (188-83, college: Florida) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points. The other American import power forward Jarvis Williams (198-93, college: Murray St.) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Boulazac Basket's coach Antoine Michon used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American center Ryan Rhoomes (203-92, college: Fordham) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Pierre-Etienne Drouault (196-90) added 14 points in the effort for Saint-Quentin. Boulazac Basket moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Saint-Quentin. Saint-Quentin lost fourth consecutive game. Boulazac Basket will face Aix-Maurienne (#11) in Aix-les-Bains in the next round.
