There was an upset when higher ranked Roma Luiss (8-7) were edged at home by eleventh ranked Catanzaro (6-9) 92-91 on Saturday. Catanzaro forced 19 Roma Luiss turnovers. Roma Luiss were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Gianluca Carpanzano (188-95, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Devil Medizza (198-90) who added 19 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Leonardo Marcon (189-95) responded with 26 points and 4 steals and point guard Francesco Faragalli Serroni (176-95) scored 15 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Roma Luiss' coach Andrea Paccarie rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Catanzaro moved-up to ninth place in B. Loser Roma Luiss keep the sixth position with seven games lost. Catanzaro will face Patti (#12) at home in the next round.
