There was an upset when higher ranked Cecina (8-7) was defeated on the road by fifteenth ranked Oleggio (6-10) 73-60 on Saturday. Oleggio dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Cecina's 26. Worth to mention a great performance of center Lorenzo Petrosino (203-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and point guard Andrea Resca (185-93) who added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side point guard Giovanni Bruni (185-82, agency: Interperformances) responded with 17 points and 5 assists and power forward Andrea Spera (203-96) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Cecina's coach Giacomo Bandieri rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Oleggio moved-up to ninth place in B, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Cecina dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Oleggio will face higher ranked San Miniato (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
