Important game to mention about took place in San Sebastian. Ninth ranked Cadi La Seu (7-8) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 11th ranked Gipuzkoa UPV (6-9) 73-72 on Saturday evening. Cadi La Seu forced 24 Gipuzkoa UPV turnovers. Strangely Gipuzkoa UPV outrebounded Cadi La Seu 37-24 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for international Belen Arrojo (188-95) who led her team to a victory scoring 14 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Andrea Vilaro (182-93, college: Florida) helped adding 14 points and 4 assists. Five Cadi La Seu players scored in double figures. Cadi La Seu's coach Joan Carles Pie used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Brazilian center Nadia Colhado (193-89) with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks and Italian-Paraguayan swingman Paola Ferrari (178-85) scored 11 points and 6 assists. Cadi La Seu moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Gipuzkoa UPV dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. Cadi La Seu will face Mann Filter (#7) in Zaragoza in the next round. Gipuzkoa UPV will play at home against the league's leader Perfumerias Avenida and hope to win that game.
