Regular Season Round 17: Telge - Visby 87-76

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Visby Ladies' (5-13) road loss to eighth ranked Telge (5-11) 76-87. The game was mostly controlled by Telge. Visby Ladies was better in fourth quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. American swingman Jasmine Gill (185-90, college: JMU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. International forward Ellen Astrom (170-96) contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the winners. Four Telge players scored in double figures. American forward Danielle McCray (185-93, college: Mississippi) answered with 22 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard Nicole Bauman (178, college: Wisconsin) added 21 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) in the effort for Visby Ladies. The victory was the third consecutive win for Telge. They maintain eighth place with 5-11 record. Visby Ladies at the other side keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. Telge's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Sallen (#10) in Uppsala. Visby Ladies will play at home against the league's second-placed Lulea Basket and will have a slim chance for a victory.
