Regular Season Round 21: Sodertalje - Boras 86-80

The game between third ranked Boras Basket (11-8) and sixth ranked Sodertalje Kings (9-5) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Boras Basket was defeated by Sodertalje Kings in a tough game in Sodertalje 80-86. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Boras Basket. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Boras Basket won third quarter 17-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sodertalje Kings made 7 blocks. It was a good game for Croatian forward Toni Bizaca (202-82, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who led his team to a victory with 23 points. Latvian guard Davis Lejasmeiers (192-91) contributed with 19 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Sodertalje Kings players scored in double figures. American guard Jerome Seagears (185-92, college: UNLV) answered with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import forward Trayvonn Wright (201-91, college: N.Dakota St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) added 17 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Boras Basket. Boras Basket's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion moved-up to fifth place. Boras Basket at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. Sodertalje Kings are looking forward to face higher ranked Nassjo (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Boras Basket will play against the league's second-placed Norrkoping Dolphins and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
