The biggest surprise took place in Mont de Marsan where host Basket Landes (10-3) beat league's leader Lattes Montpellier (10-4) 52-47 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Lattes Montpellier. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Lattes Montpellier trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 18-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 47-52 at the end of the game. Basket Landes forced 19 Lattes Montpellier turnovers. The best player for the winners was Canadian power forward Miranda Ayim (191-88, college: Pepperdine) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. International Celine Dumerc (169-82) chipped in 10 points and 4 assists. The former international forward Fatimatou Sacko (177-85) produced 8 points and 6 rebounds and the former international Sarah Michel (180-89) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Basket Landes have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Defending champion Lattes Montpellier dropped to the third position with four games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Flammes. Lattes Montpellier will play next round against Villeneuve D'Ascq trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Basket Landes will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Flammes in Charleville.
