The game in Aichi was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Otsuka A. (11-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Aisin AW (7-9). Otsuka A. managed to secure a 8-point victory 81-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aisin AW. The guests were ahead by 7 points but lost the second period ending it with a 5-point deficit before their 28-15 run, which allowed them to win the game. Otsuka A. made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Otsuka A. outrebounded Aisin AW 47-36 including 34 on the defensive glass. 26 personal fouls committed by Aisin AW helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds. Power forward Takeshi Hasegawa (196-84) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Kyouhei Kumazawa (180-88) who recorded 18 points and 7 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and guard Yuki Ishihara (180-91) added 12 points and 8 assists respectively. Four Aisin AW players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Otsuka A. maintains fourth place with 11-5 record. Aisin AW at the other side keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Otsuka A.'s next round opponent will be Toyoda Gosei (#8) in Aichi. Aisin AW will play on the road against Tokyo Big Blue and hope to win that game.
