Regular Season Round 18: Sudety - Katy Wroclawskie 75-72

Very expected game in Jelenia Gora where 9th ranked Katy Wroclawskie (6-11) was edged by third ranked Sudety (11-5) 75-72 on Sunday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Sudety made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Katy Wroclawskie turnovers. Guard Lukasz Niesobski (185-85) scored 16 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Jaroslaw Wilusz (200-85) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Slawomir Dzwilewski (193-84) with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Lukasz Bartnicki (175-89) scored 12 points. Four Sudety and five Katy Wroclawskie players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Sudety moved-up to second place, which they share with AZS PGd and AZS UMK Torun. Newly promoted Katy Wroclawskie keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Sudety will have a break next round. Katy Wroclawskie will play on the road against Gimbasket WRC (#6) and hope to win that game.
