Not a big story in a game when 17th ranked Jiangsu TX (7-21) was defeated at home by thirteenth ranked TianJin Steel (13-15) 117-110 on Sunday. Jiangsu TX was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) fired a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) chipped in a double-double by scoring 28 points and 17 rebounds. Four TianJin Steel players scored in double figures. Jordanian forward Zaid Abbas (203-83) produced a double-double by scoring 44 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and American guard Jared Cunningham (193-91, college: Oregon St.) added 35 points (!!!) respectively for lost side. Jiangsu TX's coach Qiang Xu gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. TianJin Steel moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Shanxi Zh. Loser Jiangsu TX keeps the seventeenth position with 21 games lost. TianJin Steel will face higher ranked Jiangsu Dragons (#10) in Nanjing in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Jiangsu TX will play on the road against Beijing Ducks (#8) and hope to win that game.
