The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Goleniow's (9-8) home victory over 9th ranked Gniezno (7-10) 67-61 on Sunday. Tomasz Balcerek (190-87) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Maciej Adamkiewicz (199-89) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Michal Szydlowski (197-87) with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Karol Tyborowski (188-88) scored 13 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Goleniow moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Gimbasket WRC and Przemysl. Loser Gniezno dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Goleniow will have a break next round. Gniezno will play on the road against AZS PP (#12) in Poznan and hope to win that game.
