Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Ortona (5-10) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Porto S.Elpidio (10-6) 82-70 on Sunday. Ortona was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Alberto Cacace (197-96) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Fabio Lovatti (192-89) who added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side point guard Fabrizio Gialloreto (185-87) responded with 14 points and 7 assists and power forward Gianluca Di Carmine (200-86) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Five Porto S.Elpidio and four Ortona players scored in double figures. Porto S.Elpidio moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with Faenza and Lecco. Loser Ortona keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. Porto S.Elpidio will face Matera (#7) at home in the next round. Ortona will play against San Severo (#5) and hope to win that game.
