Regular Season Round 15: La Roda - Lanzarote 86-66

Everything went according to plan when second ranked La Roda (11-4) outscored at home 11th ranked Lanzarote (5-8) 86-66 on Sunday. La Roda forced 19 Lanzarote turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Lanzarote's players. It was a great evening for forward Norman Rey (203-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Agustin Morales (191-90) helped adding 17 points and 5 assists (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Five La Roda players scored in double figures. La Roda's coach Alex Gonzalez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Cameron Vines (193-93, college: St.Joseph, IN) with 14 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import forward Kennedy Eubanks (198-93, college: Texas Arlington) scored 16 points. La Roda have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place in Group B with 11-4 record having just five point less than leader Menorca. Newly promoted Lanzarote dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. La Roda will face Alcobendas (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lanzarote will play against Viten Fuen. in Madrid and hope to win that game.
