Rather expected game when 13th ranked Rieti (6-11) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Treviglio (8-8) 87-82 on Sunday. Treviglio made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Rieti was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian Paulius Sorokas (202-92, agency: Players Group) who scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Tommaso Marino (192-86, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 22 points and 6 assists. Five Treviglio players scored in double figures. American forward DeShawn Sims (203-88, college: Michigan) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import Dalton Pepper (196-90, college: Temple) added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Treviglio maintains tenth place in A2 with 8-8 record. Loser Rieti keeps the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Treviglio will face Agropoli (#15) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Rieti will play against FCM Ferentino and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
