An interesting game took place in Changchun, where higher ranked Sichuan BW (15-13) lost to fourteenth ranked Jilin Tigers (12-16) in a road game 85-102 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sichuan BW. Jilin Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Sichuan BW's 38. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Jilin Tigers made 8 blocks. American swingman Jabari Brown (193-92, college: Missouri) fired 33 points (!!!) and 7 assists for the winners. The other American import forward Malcolm Thomas (206-88, college: San Diego St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 23 rebounds. Five Jilin Tigers players scored in double figures. Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international swingman Da Meng (196-82) added 28 points and 5 steals respectively for lost side. Jilin Tigers maintains fourteenth position with 12-16 record. Defending champion Sichuan BW dropped to the eighth place with 13 games lost. Jilin Tigers will face league's second-placed Xinjiang Flying Tige in Urumqi in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
