Very expected game when 9th ranked Cefalu (6-9) was edged at home by fifth ranked Basket Barcellona (11-5) 73-71 on Sunday. Cefalu was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Daniele Grilli (191-87) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized Dominican guard Yancarlos Jefferson Rodriguez (195-94) who added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Basket Barcellona players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Marco Mollura (196-93) responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Riccardo Malagoli (209-88) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Basket Barcellona moved-up to fourth place in B. Newly promoted Cefalu dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. Basket Barcellona will face Roma Vis Nova (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cefalu will play against Forli Tigers (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
