Matera shot 62.3 percent from the field and made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Matera outrebounded Monteroni 40-22 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Stefano Laudoni (195-89) who helped to win the game recording 26 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and point guard Gionata Zampolli (189-85) who added 23 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots) during the contest. Five Matera and four Monteroni players scored in double figures. Matera maintains seventh position in B with 9-5 record. Loser Monteroni keeps the fifteenth place with 13 games lost. Matera will face higher ranked Porto S.Elpidio (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Monteroni will play against Pescara (#3) and hope to win that game.
