Regular Season Round 16: Isernia - Campli 67-70

Very expected game when 11th ranked Isernia (5-10) was edged at home by fifth ranked Campli (11-4) 70-67 on Sunday. Strangely Isernia outrebounded Campli 35-21 including 22 on the defensive glass. Isernia was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Antonio Serroni (192-87) who helped to win the game recording 21 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and power forward Riziero Ponziani (204-94) who added 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Campli players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Marco Salari (184-96) responded with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and naturalized Albanian power forward Klaudio Patani (197-96) scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. Isernia's coach Nino Sanfilippo rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Campli moved-up to fourth place in B. Loser Isernia dropped to the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Campli will face Venafro (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Isernia will play against the league's second-placed Bisceglie and hope to win that game.
