Regular Season Round 17: Norrkoping - Visby 64-84

An interesting game took place in Norrkoping where 4th placed Norrkoping Dolphins (8-6) were upset on its own court by ninth ranked Visby Ladies (5-13) 84-64. The game without a history. Visby Ladies led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Norrkoping Dolphins' 36. They outrebounded Norrkoping Dolphins 37-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. Lithuanian guard Mante Kvederaviciute (180-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Danielle McCray (185-93, college: Mississippi) contributed with 24 points for the winners. American center Shanity James (183-93, college: UALR) answered with 13 points and 8 rebounds and guard Matilda Claesson (170-94) added 15 points in the effort for Norrkoping Dolphins. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Visby Ladies maintains ninth place with 5-13 record. Norrkoping Dolphins at the other side keep the fourth position with six games lost. Visby Ladies' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Lulea Basket at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against KFUM Ostersund and hope to win that game.
