Regular Season Round 9: Hoops - Louaize 84-69

Hoops Club's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after eight consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Louaize (5-4) 84-69. It was a great shooting night for Hoops Club especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and American center Darrius Garrett (206-90, college: Richmond) chipped in 14 points and 14 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American center Wendell Lewis (208-89, college: Alabama St., agency: HMS) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and international guard Geron Johnson (190-92, college: Memphis) scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Hoops Club and four Louaize players scored in double figures. Hoops Club maintains tenth place with 1-8 record. Louaize at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Moutahed. Hoops Club will play against higher ranked Tadamon (#6) in Zouk in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Louaize will play on the road against the league's leader Homenetmen where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
