Regular Season Round 26: Rieker KN - Prievidza 87-79

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Prievidza (16-6) against sixth ranked Rieker KN (12-10) on Monday night. Visiting Prievidza was defeated by Rieker KN in a tough game in Komarno 79-87. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Prievidza. Prievidza was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Wayne Langston (201-93, college: Murray St.) notched 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and the former international Roman Vido (204-88) supported him with 17 points. Even 18 points by Serbian center Rastko Dramicanin (208-86, agency: AproK Sports Group) did not help to save the game for Prievidza. Guard Mario Ihring (192-98) added 10 points and 5 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rieker KN moved-up to fifth place. Defending champion Prievidza dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Rieker KN will play against league's second-placed Inter Bratislava on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Prievidza will play against Nitra and hopes to get back on the winning track.
