The game in Tarshicha was also worth to mention about. 7th ranked Hap.Haifa (7-7) played at the court of eighth ranked Hapoel Migd.H. (8-7). Hapoel Migd.H. managed to secure a 7-point victory 88-81. Hapoel Migd.H. made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Hap.Haifa was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American-Puerto Rican Chris Gaston (201-89, college: Fordham) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds. American swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-88, college: Colorado) accounted for 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Hapoel Migd.H. players scored in double figures. Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW) came up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and guard Ilan Nanikashvili (187-79) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists respectively for Hap.Haifa in the defeat. Hapoel Migd.H. moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ironi K-A. Newly promoted Hap.Haifa dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Hapoel Migd.H. will play against Hapoel Afula (#11) on the road in the next round. Hap.Haifa will play against Hasharon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
