Regular Season Round 31: Tochigi Brex - Chiba Jets 80-67

The game between Top Four teams took place in Tochigi. Second ranked host Tochigi Brex (22-6) defeated 3rd placed Chiba Jets (19-11) 80-67. The game was mostly controlled by Tochigi Brex. Chiba Jets was better in third quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tochigi Brex dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Chiba Jets' 38. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists. International guard Yusuke Endo (185-89) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Tochigi Brex's coach Thomas Wisman let to play all 12 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import center Hilton Armstrong (210-84, college: Connecticut) added 11 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Chiba Jets. Five Tochigi Brex and four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. Tochigi Brex keeps a position of league leader, which they share with SeaHorses. Chiba Jets lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the second place with 11 games lost. Tochigi Brex's next round opponent will be league's leader Toshiba Thunders in Kanagawa and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chiba Jets will play at home against the league's leader Aishin Sea Horses and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
