Regular Season Round 19: WKK Wroclaw - Slask Wroclaw 61-76

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Wroclaw: Slask (#1) and WKK Wroclaw (#8). WKK Wroclaw was defeated at home 61-76 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Slask dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to WKK Wroclaw's 26. They outrebounded WKK Wroclaw 40-20 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Slask looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by WKK Wroclaw's players. Power forward Aleksander Dziewa (206-97) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Maciej Krakowczyk (200-96) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Patryk Wilk (195-97) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and guard Bartlomiej Rodak (180-96) added 15 points and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Slask (17-0) have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 17 victories in a row. WKK Wroclaw at the other side keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Katy Wroclawskie. Slask are looking forward to face league's second-placed Gornik in Walbrzych in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. WKK Wroclaw will have a break next round.
