There was no surprise when 7th ranked Gimnasia LP (4-15) lost to third ranked Huracan (10-11) in La Plata 76-82 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Huracan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Huracan outrebounded Gimnasia LP 40-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for guard Lisandro Ruiz Moreno (183-89) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Jerome Hill (198-94, college: Gardner-Webb) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Huracan players scored in double figures. Power forward Lisandro Villa (198-87) answered with 22 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Leonardo La Bella (180-86) added 18 points and 6 assists in the effort for Gimnasia LP. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Huracan. They maintain third place with 10-11 record having four points less than leader Parque Sur. Gimnasia LP lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 15 games lost. Huracan will face Petr.Argentino (#6) in Plaza Huincul in the next round. Gimnasia LP will play at home against Atenas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
