There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Independiente BBC (5-13) defeated at home 3rd placed Villa Angela (11-7) 85-69 on Wednesday. Independiente BBC made 20-of-21 free shots (95.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for point guard Victor Hugo Cajal (179-80, agency: DTMones) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Julian Aprea (209-87) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Martin Cequeira (180-88) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists and Alejandro Spalla (197-89, agency: DTMones) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Villa Angela. Five Independiente BBC and four Villa Angela players scored in double figures. Villa Angela's coach Leandro Ramella rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Independiente BBC maintains fifth place with 5-13 record. Loser Villa Angela keeps the third position with seven games lost. Independiente BBC will face league's second-placed Comunicaciones in Mercedes in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Villa Angela will play on the road against Barrio Parque in Cordoba and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
